Gregory H. Wing – Trumpet Artist & Educator
Greg Wing is Emeritus Professor of Music (Trumpet) at Morehead State University, where he served from 2002 to 2024. He holds a Master of Music in Trumpet Performance from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University–Bloomington and a Bachelor of Music Education from Morehead State University.
A highly soughtafter clinician and guest artist, Wing previously served as Assistant Instructor of Trumpet at Indiana University under the legendary Professor William Adam, and as Instructor of Trumpet for the Nevada School of the Arts in Las Vegas.

Commercial, Lead Trumpet & Touring Work
Recognized as one of the nation’s leading trumpet artists, Wing has held prominent lead trumpet positions with:
- The Buddy Rich Big Band
- Paul Anka
- Tom Jones (four years)
He also performed as lead trumpet in the house orchestras of Caesar’s Palace, the Las Vegas Hilton, Flamingo Hilton, and the Stardust Hotel. His career includes performances with virtually every major entertainer of the era, including Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Johnny Mathis, Tony Bennett, and Natalie Cole.
Wing has extensive Broadway experience as well, having performed in the orchestras of 57 national touring productions. He is also a former member of the DiMartino/Osland Jazz Orchestra (DOJO).

Professional Affiliations
Wing has enjoyed a long association with the ConnSelmer Corporation as an Artist/Clinician for Vincent Bach Trumpets. He also serves on the Board of the William Adam International Trumpet Festival. Wing is also a Life member of the American Federation of Musicians.
